Recademics Celebrates One Year of “Give Back” Program

Southlake, TX —  Recademics, a U.S.-based provider of online hunter education, celebrates its one-year milestone of its Recademics Give Back program, an intentional commitment to reinvest in the hunter education and conservation community through public-safety discounts, youth mentorship partnerships, and initiatives that help more young people access safe, ethical hunting opportunities.

Over the past year, Recademics Give Back has focused on three core areas: 

1.) Supporting those who serve (active-duty & retired): 50% Off! 

2.) Strengthening mentorship and education beyond the classroom

3.) Expanding outdoor access for youth hunters.

A Year of Impact

Supporting Those Who Serve: The program’s cornerstone is Recademics’ 50% discount for active-duty and retired military, law enforcement, firefighters, and other first responders, which extends to eligible dependents. Over the past year, Recademics has provided this discount to thousands of public-safety professionals, service members, and their families.

“Many of us on the Recademics team grew up in service families, so we understand that every dollar matters,” said Mitch Strobl, Co-Founder of Recademics. “My parents are veterans, and they dedicated more than 20 years to public service—one as a police officer and the other as a firefighter. My co-founder Jake’s dad was a Navy pilot, and our Education Director, Becca, grew up around the world while her father served in the military. The discount might seem small on paper, but we know firsthand that savings add up. We offer it with genuine gratitude to the people who serve our country and their communities.”

Youth Hunts and Mentorship Partnerships: Recademics Give Back also invests directly into mentorship-based pathways that help new hunters build confidence and competence in the field. Over the past year, Recademics has helped sponsor youth hunts and mentorship experiences with various mentor organizations, supporting safe, supervised opportunities where young hunters can learn hands-on skills and responsible decision-making.

“Mentorship is where learning becomes real,” Strobl added. “When a young hunter has a safe, supportive first experience, it builds the foundation for a lifetime of ethical hunting and conservation.”

Free Refresher Course & In-Person Classes: In addition to online coursework, Recademics has hosted and supported free in-person hunting seminars designed to make foundational knowledge more accessible, covering topics such as hunter safety, ethics, shot placement and recovery principles, field care basics, and planning a first hunt. These events are designed to complement state hunter education and help new hunters feel prepared before stepping into the woods.

Conservation Projects that Increase Youth Access: Recademics Give Back has also contributed to conservation and access projects that create more opportunities for youth hunters, supporting work that helps ensure safe places to learn, hunt, and build stewardship values. These contributions are made in collaboration with partners and local stakeholders, with a focus on practical impact and long-term access.

Purchasing Licenses for Youth Hunters: Lastly, to lower barriers and help more young people get started, Recademics has purchased hunting licenses for youth hunters, helping expand participation in hunting and conservation and supporting the broader funding model that sustains wildlife management.

Bringing Give Back to More States

Recademics’ hunter education course is currently available in 11 states, with more launching in the near future.
