It’s built for community partnerships and scaling state-by-state. Southlake, TX — Recademics, a U.S.-based provider of online boating safety education, celebrates one year of its Recademics Give Back program, an intentional commitment to reinvest in the boating safety community through public-safety discounts, life jacket awareness partnerships, and initiatives that help more families participate in water-based outdoor recreation.
Over the past year, Recademics Give Back has focused on three core areas:

In addition, Recademics is expanding access to safety information through a free refresher course designed to help any boater revisit key boating safety concepts at no cost.
Supporting Those Who Serve: The program’s cornerstone is Recademics’ 50% discount for active-duty and retired military, law enforcement, firefighters, and other first responders, which extends to eligible dependents. Over the past year, Recademics has provided this discount to thousands of public-safety professionals, service members, and their families.

Free Refresher Course: As part of its broader mission to improve boating safety outcomes, Recademics also offers a free boating safety refresher course intended to make key safety information accessible to any boater—at no charge. The refresher is designed for boaters who want a quick, practical review of essential topics like required equipment, navigation rules, accident prevention, and responsible operation—whether they are new to boating or simply preparing for a new season on the water.
Life Jacket Awareness and Community Safety Projects: Recademics Give Back has supported the development of life jacket loaner boards in partnership with the LV Project, the National Safe Boating Council (NSBC), and state agency partners, helping make life jackets more available at the places people need them most.
Recademics has also piloted an “Adopt a Boat Ramp” concept, modeled after programs like “Adopt a Highway”, in partnership with Texas Parks & Wildlife Department (TPWD) to promote life jacket awareness and safer behavior at high-traffic access points.
Expanding Outdoor Access for Youth: To help encourage families to get outside and build lifelong safety habits, Recademics has also purchased youth outdoor licenses to support fishing and other water-based outdoor activities for young participants.
Recademics’ boating safety course is currently available in 20 states across the country, with more launching soon.
Recademics is actively exploring partnerships with additional state agencies and local organizations to expand Give Back initiatives—such as life jacket loaner boards, boat ramp safety days, localized awareness campaigns, and free refresher resources—based on each state’s priorities and community needs.
