Mitch Strobl is a Co-Founder of Recademics, a founder-owned education company focused on modern outdoor certification courses. He oversees agency relations and business development, working directly with state partners, industry organizations, and standards bodies to ensure programs align with regulatory requirements and real-world outdoor practice. Mitch brings deep subject matter expertise from the outdoor industry and has worked across hunting, boating, and broader recreation markets.
Mitch is an operator and executive with experience in GovTech, government sales and contracting, agency relations, and outdoor recreation markets. Before co-founding Recademics, he spent a decade in the outdoor certification and software sector, where he managed agency relations, led business units, and oversaw partnerships with state and federal regulatory bodies. His work includes building and managing government contracting programs, developing certification products, and working directly with agencies and standards groups that govern outdoor access and safety.
Mitch has served as Executive Vice President & General Manager of a software business unit, Vice President of Agency Relations, and Director of Customer Relations at an outdoor certification company. He also operates his own business and provides external advisory and contracting services within the GovTech and outdoor industries.
